Thursday Nostalgia Coffee Break

Hey hey hey Nostalgia Fanatics! Time for a short coffee break (sit, sip, relax)... "Ahhhhhh!" Happy Thursday to everyone! The weekend is almost here so hooray for that right? You've been working so hard all week, it's time to relax!

It's been a real fun week here at Nostalgia Manila. I was so excited when a friend (hexseeker) told me about his collection of episodes of the Tarzan Lord Of The Jungle Cartoon by Filmation which aired in the late 70's. If I'm not mistaken, the show was on IBC 13(?) Thanks to hex, you'll be able to watch full-length episodes of this lost classic! I really loved watching this as a kid. It was one of my favorite cartoons, so thank you hex!

I walked around town yesterday and popped into a few vintage toy stores; something I love doing in my spare time. I saw a bunch of really cool stuff including some of the early 80's G.I. Joe action figures and toy vehicles. This reminded me of the new segment I've started called "Yo Joe!", which features original G.I. Joe artwork that came with the 80's G.I. Joe action figures and playsets. It'll surely bring you back to those days when you'd check out all those wonderful toys you've always wanted at Nova Fontana.

Thanks to Simon Santos, the prayers of a million Julie Vega fans have been answered! Simon has put together all these great photos of late teen star that every Julie Vega fan would just love. Thanks Simon!

J & G otherwise known as "THE WEA TWINS" LEFT A COMMENT on the page that shows their photo, featured in Photo Nostalgia! Thanks J & G, and thanks to Tuninii Villamor for sending in the photo.

I'm also working on getting that Dragon Katol tv advert back online. I got plenty of emails about it, and it sure gave a lot of people a good laugh while it was still viewable. So for those of you who haven't seen it, no worries, I'm working on it!

OH! Maybe one of you can HELP ME! I'm trying to remember a song! See, before I went to bed the other night, I started humming something I remembered from back in the day!

Do you remember singing: "Sing, sing, sing, singkong chicharon. Bentesingkong tira-tira, jis na pulburon." Hahaha! Anyone? I know this was lifted from an original 80's dance tune, but I don't remember what it was called! So if you somehow remember this, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT because I'm going nuts just trying to remember the name of that song.

I want to give everyone a chance to get some FREE MONEY! Yep, you heard that right! FREE MONEY!Make and easy $20 right now! This is NOT A GIMMICK! All you need is a blog and a PayPal account to receive your money. If you blog, you can get paid an easy $20! What are you waiting for? Follow the link and make an easy 20 bucks right now!

Have a great weekend everyone! You deserve it!

Always,
--NM

Silver Pozzoli, you may not recognise the name, but you certainly will recognise the tune. He comes from Italy and made some of the best Italo/Euro dance songs, you will be singing along in no time...."Sing, sing, sing, sing my dream around...." "
