Dear all, this is really, really a great site, I feel young again.
Looking back is like a breath of fresh air. I was so amused how people still have kept all those things all these years. I remember myself being a BMX rider too but not really that good though. Also had a lot of matchbox then, like my mom would buy one every week, had a die-cast metal of some of star wars figures like the Imperial AT-AT (the four-legged one) complete with pilot and small storm troopers, had a C3-PO, a whole collection of FUNNY COMICS from the very first issue...sad thing is I've never had a chance to keep them...I'm a clumsy kid back then...i only manage to keep a few star wars (only two, actually) figures like the x-wing and tie-fighter...had a game and watch too (parachute), also had that robo-watch...etc etc...
guess i could say that i really lived those years (80's to be exact) but most of my stuffs back then were lost, borrowed, never to return...I remember giving 5 full boxes of FUNNY COMICS to a younger generation in my neighborhood in Tondo before we moved to muntinlupa...geesh this site is really awesome I wish some of the guys would post some FUNNY COMICS...i still remember the characters like: BATUTE, BING, BAM, BUNG, NIK NOK, MAHIMUD ALI, ADVENTURES OF DAX, BULOL & TAGAK...etc, etc...I remember they're issues being circulated during saturdays (i guess) so i would wake up early, head to the supplier of comics and newspaper...will have my fresh issue before they send it to other newsstand or stores...it will still feel warm and the smell of ink...that comics inspired me to draw...
now I'm an art director in a multinational advertising agency. I remember sending my artwork in THIS IS YOUR PAGE section of that FUNNY COMICS and then after a week or so...letters are pouring in, week after week...saying they liked my drawing (no kidding) I became popular in my neighborhood because of that drawing...I drew SUPERDOG & HIS PAL TUTING ( after they finished the story of SUPERCAT) and then one girl from southern province (cant remember the exact place) became my penpal after that, our relationship in pen & paper lasted i think around 2 years and just fade away like a smoke...but its a real walk down memory lane...i wish i could have preserved most of my stuffs when i was a kid so at least i can also make a contribution to your fabulous site...

Sa bumubuo ng Nostalgia Manila,
Isang mainit na yakap po sa inyong lahat mula sa isang nagpapasalamat. Gumawa po kayo ng tulay sa panahon ng aking buhay na akala ko ay nawala na. Nang aking madaan ang inyong website, naramdaman ko po muli ang tibok ng siyudad ng Maynila. Lalong lalo na sa Greenhills kung saan ako po noon ay laging nagigising at naaaliw. Ang mga panahon na inyong pinansin at binigyan ng tingin ay lugar at oras na tinikman at isinayaw ng mga taong naglaro sa tiyempo ng pagkakataon. Mula kay Ate Vi, hanggang sa VST, ang sarap alalahanin. Ang sarap iwagayway kung paano ang Maynila ay naging puso ng buong silayan. Dinibdib ng mga taong nagkita, nag-ayon at nagising sa kulay na dulot ng paligid. Mula sa mga ibang taong nagpadala na sa inyo ng kanilang mga sariling alaala, ligaya ang iisipin kung gaano tayo kapalad. Mayroon tayong mga larawan sa ating mga isipan na ang dulot ay matatamis na ngiti sa ating mga mata at init sa ating mga paa.
Dalawangpung taon na po ako dito sa Canada . Natupad ang aking mga pangarap. Masaya ang aking buhay, salamat sa tiyaga. Ngunit kung hindi ko naranasan ang aking dinanas sa Maynila nung 70's at 80's, hindi po ako ang taong makikita ko ngayon sa salamin.
Muli po, napakaraming salamat. Pagpatuloy po ninyo ang mabuting gawa at pagpalain po sana tayong lahat ng totoong nakakaalam.

Wow pare nice one! I really want to thank Nostalgia Manila for doing the Big Bagets Special! God, the video clips really brought back great memories. Nakakamiss lahat ng mga gimmik at buhay teenager talaga. I've always been a big Bagets fan myself for many years. It's one of my all time favorite pinoy movies talaga. Hello Nostalgia Manila. I wanted to let everyone know that I love everything you feature on the site. You really know your stuff! I went crazy when I saw the commercial clips of the Daimos and Voltes V toys! Napaka bagsik! I must've watched those clips 10 times that day. I remember seeing those commercials when my family and I went on a trip to Tokyo when I was about 5 years old. Man you really took me back in time. Pero hindi lang yun! You also featured one of my favorite Saturday Fun Machine cartoons Super 6! Tapos you pretty much featured most of the toys I had when I was a kid, Movie Viewer, Speak & Spell, Trump Cards, View Master, pati Game & Watch! The fun never stops talaga. Ang dami pa. Please feature more toys, cartoons, and old shows. I really love this site. It's about time a site worth visiting is part of the Pinoy blogosphere. You are the coolest blog talaga!

Hello Nostalgia. I'm a big music fan and I must say that I love every music related features you've posted. I really love the 1987 KISS FM Aircheck with AJ Fats. Man I haven't heard that song Don't Disturb This Groove in ages, and it really brought back so many great memories. I used to listen to that song over and over when we'd have gimmiks every Saturday night at Greenhills. Carerra at White Plains. Those were the days. I also love your Video Hit Parade Classics. Man you really know which videos to feature. I'm a big fan of U2, OMD, Tears For Fears, Pet Shop Boys, and that China Crisis video I haven't seen in a long long time. Really brings back memories.
