Nostalgia Manila was conceived on September 10th 2006 as cathartic result of someone who refused to be desensitized by today's hyper-media culture. The world is very different from how we remember it to be so many decades ago, and there are those of us who feel somewhat alienated by so much change we've all witnessed and experienced. Nostalgia Manila's creator simply wanted to reach out and connect with these people, those who longed to revisit a not so distant past.

Since its initial debut, this blog has brought together thousands of Filipinos from all over the world, bridging generations through sharing precious memories, and special moments filled with magic and wonder.

The blog has been featured in television shows, newspapers, and magazines. Its creator has been interviewed many times (via telephone or email), but has always chosen to keep his anonymity. Not even the blog's contributors know the true identity of who most of us fondly refer to as NM (short for Nostalgia Manila).
