Nostalgia Treasure: WWF Super Stars of Wrestling Trading Cards

Many thanks to our friend Zero of A's Asylum for sharing with us this cool photo of his brother's old WWF card collection from their childhood. If you look closely, it says "Bubblegum Series Collection". Zero isn't so sure what junk food these cards came in, so if you're one of those people who remeber, feel free to leave a comment.

Hi, if memory serves me right, you could get these without buying any bubble gum or something; you could buy the cards by themselves.

I think what happened was that there were enterprising people who mass-printed these cards and then sold them cheaply. The same thing happened during early 90s, when the rage was Marvel Super Heroes trading cards. Piracy, nostalgia style!

Wow! would've been neat to collect them that way, instead of getting doubles.

Too bad it wasn't the case in the nearby sari sari store beside our school, we had to trade with friends.

But yeah, it looks mass-printed.
