1. Where did you grow up, and what made that place special?
I grew up on Katipunan, and it's the best place to grow up on earth! Growing up on a university belt is to grow up in a place that's forever dynamic and young. Plus, there are a million cheap restaurants to eat at, and every service in earth available, from book-binding to printing tarpaulin. Plus, you always have a beautiful place to escape to, either Ateneo or UP campus. Katipunera forever!

2. What was your favorite tv show, cartoon, or children's show growing up? What did you like about these shows that made them your favorite?
I watched Jem and the Holograms religiously. She was Barbie gone glamrock! Ang cool lang niya talaga. She had everything, a glampop band, big pink hair, high-tech earrings, and a boyfriend who was in love with both her and her alter-ego. I have 3 Jem t-shirts :-)

Oh, and I also loved SHAIDER, and came as Annie for Halloween 2 years ago. My boyfriend was Shaider, and we won 10,000 pesos at a costume contest for it.

3. Favorite music group or artist? Most memorable song?
Growing up, I was into Basia (because of my parents)
and knew the words to "Time and Tide" growing up. I also loved the New Kids on the Block, tsaka Janet Jackson. I thought she was so cool when she came out with her black trench coat, and a key for an earring.

Most memorable song, "The Right Stuff", by New Kids.

4. Share with our readers one of your fondest memories of growing up.
Playing on the street. I was the typical 80s kid,
playing on the piles of sand and gravel doon sa may construction, biking around the neighbourhood, and of course, we had a 'secret club'. I was an outdoors kid.

5. What do you miss from back then that's not available today?
I hate how kids nowadays don't play outside anymore.
All they want to do is Gameboy or Playstation. Also, toys nowadays are so hightech and leave so little to the imagination. Back when I was young, I could pick up a rock, pretend it was "magic", and that would keep me entertained for the rest of the afternoon.
