ah yes... the monument. bago pa nauso ang quad at harrison plaza, luneta was THE way to spend sunday mornings. pinoy weather was still quite good then. kaya bihira kang makakita ng sheds sa luneta; hindi mo kasi iindahin yung init ng araw kahit alas-diyes na nang umaga.
pwedeng mag-family picnic kahit saan sa luneta. amoy-na-amoy mo pa rin yung pure salty air ng manila bay kahit nasa or lampas ka na sa monumento.
i remember an old joke:
pare, may job opening sa luneta. malaki ang sahod.
anong trabaho?
taga-payong kay rizal.
That metal thing attached to the Rizal monument was unceremonously removed and was once placed at the end of Roxas boulevard between Baclaran and Pasay (where the overpass stands now)
