It is so sad that the present state of the Manila Hotel is nothing like its old grandeur self.
Its rooms look as cheap (if not cheaper) than many of the rooms in Victoria Court.
The interior is gaudy and the nostalgia has been broken by commercialism and promos.
This is the reason why many have left Manila for Makati as the prime hotel belt in the Philippines
For VJ...Mismo! Yung mga signages nila parang ginamitan ng palara and red cartolina. Tapos sa lobby, may kupas na Pearl and Dean aerial picture ng hotel. Service? Hay naku.. Iba talaga ang priority ng owners nila ngayon.
Wow! I've been seeing u around, bloghoppin and all... ngaun lang ako nakadalaw dito sa bahay mo. I love the pics!
Nakakatuwa naman ang iyong reminiscence of old Manila ;)

wheew ayos ah...
I have many fond memories of attending debutant balls of cousins in this hotel when I was a kid.
Great pics! Thanks for sharing.
sayang, hindi na maganda ang manila hotel ngayon :(
blame the present owners if the interiors of this once-stately hotel now resemble what one will typically find inside a third-rate pansiteria.
