  1. This vehicle, the TOYOTA COROLLA KE-20 was very popular in Japan, my home country, as a middle-of-the-road choice.
    The second-generation Corolla was assembled in Philippines by Delta Motors Corp in those days and fierce competitor toward the Ford Escort, the Mitsubishi Lancer, and the Volkswagen Beetle 1300.
    In Philippines, among 1970s Toyota products were very popular along with Fords and Mitsubishis, owing to PCMP industrial program.
    On the other hand, the Nissans were rather rare(180B and 200C vehicles), and Honda Civics were very few, mainly brought through Balikbayan personal import route, that's quite interesting story for me.
