"Bo-bo-bo-boys fall in love!"

"Boys" was also featured in the "Bagets 2" soundtrack back in 1985. It was a huge huge hit in the Philippines back in the day, it was played at parties and get togethers, etc. The video is incredibly cheesy and cheap compared to videos of today. If you notice at the beggining of the video, the control panel that opens the door is nothing but a common calculator!
ReplyDeleteto vince,
ReplyDeleteyou say "videos back then were cheesey", but cheesy to whom? videos back then were inventive and made use of what was around, which made them creative. sure there's so much new technology in film-making today, but they still can't make fun and unique videos or movies. artists pay a million dollars to make a video, but it still sucks. the new star wars is NOTHING compared to the original trilogy.
with all this said, you'd better ask yourself to redefine what is "cheesey" to you. have a little respect for the past and what was an exciting and colorful era which inspired many. instead of bashing it with cheap and trivial observations.
if it's cheesy....it must be good..i love cheese...
