i can still remember those days when these shoes were so popular. hehe :D
ReplyDeleteThe one posted here is the 4th generation Sperry.
ReplyDeleteFirst generation had no etching on the heels, and had only the embossed wave logo on one shoe. Underneath, It said the phrase, "Sperry, the original boat shoe" or something like that.
The 2nd iteration had embossed logos on both leathers and underneath the wave logo made its appearance.
The third gen had bigger logos underneath and logo at the the back of the heel and the brand name on the side of the heels.
Other choices were present: Sebago Docksides, Bass, Eastland, Timberland. Pero nothing beats Sperry.
Sperry topsiders were way too much for my meager allowance, instead, I bought the local World Balance brand.

They are classic, like Vivaldi... They are aesthetically perfect...
ReplyDeleteLove sperry, sebago docksides and still use them all through the year, except winter :(
They are not aesthetically perfect but they are also comfortable and fits excellent with the jeans...
where did you buy your Sperry Top Siders? Would you know where I can buy them here in Manila?
ReplyDeleteThe Sperry Tops shown in the picture were manufactured in 1993 onwards. The 80s Sperry does'nt have a blue foam inside them.
