    They're both extremely good. In fact, they're the best. Just watch their film together, Brutal, where they were both given roles which were complete departure from their usual roles (and possibly, their real personality). And they both came out marvelous! (And that's an understatement.)I really can't make a choice between them.

    I like Amy Austria's beauty, but Gina Alajar is a better actress for me. :-)

    Both are good though. They don't make actresses nowadays the way these two were made.

    cant make a choice. nick is right. critics got crazy deciding which one is lead and which one is supporting in BRUTAL. both were very understated. they are both subtle. even in langis at tubig, amy could hold on against dindo fernando and vilma santos. it's sad she didn't have too many acting vehicles (brutal, jaguar, muro-ami, flor contemplacion) compared to gina (brutal, manila by night, salome, moral, sister stella l., bulaklak ng city jail, orapronobis, kapit sa patalim, etc.).

    They are both fantastic in Abaya's BRUTAL. But I prefer Gina than Amy. But Amy shines also in Bernal's HINUGOT SA LANGIT as the best friend of Maricel Soriano who breakdown near the end of the film.
