Vintage Postcards: 70's Baguio Postcards

"Padalhan mo ako ang postcard okey?" Magandang tandaan na nabuhay tayo minsan sa panahon na walang email. Tuwang-tuwa ka noon pag nakatanggap ka ng sulat, mas lalo na pag nakatanggap ka ng postcard. Espesyal ang pagtanggap ng postcard, pati yung kartero na nagaabot ng mga sulat mo ay natutuwa pag may postcard na para sa iyo. Itong feature natin ay para sa mga mahilig magpadala ng sulat at postcards noon; tatlong postcards na galing Baguio printed in the '70s.

    Kool Postcards! Wow! at least that's how I remember Baguio in the 60's and 70's. Php20.00 Parka Jackets in the Baguio Market."Azucena", pinapaitan and kilawen also. The paddle boats at Burnham Park. Dangwa Transit, Pantranco and Philippine Rabbit, buses that ply the route to Baguio from Manila and back. The food stops along the highway by Tarlac, Tarlac. I have a lot of good memories about Baguio and the towns along MacArthur Highway going north.

    Pinakamasarap na strawberry jam ay yung gawa ng mga madre sa convento. Pinaka masarap na ube jam, nabibili sa palengke sa downtown baguio.

    in this age of IT, it's heaven-sent pag makatanggap ng postcard or snail mail. It has more personal touch to it. The stamp, the envelope, the handwriting of the sender. Kaya nga hanggang ngayon ay advocate pa rin ako ng snail mail kahit na may email, blogs and websites to inform people all over the globe your whereabouts, your daily routine and thoughts.
