Robo Watch!

"Akin blue, pero sa iyo black!" Ang Robo Watch ay ang isa sa mga pinakamabiling pang regalo sa Pasko na nabibili sa kahit saang tiangge noong mid to late '80s. Ang pinakamahal na version ay ang original na gawa sa Japan by Takara (ang mismong toy manufacturing company na gumawa ng Generation 1 Transformers toys). Maganda ang packaging ng Takara na naka-box, mas mabigat ang plastic, at mas maraming features ang kanyang digital clock.

Pero ang pinakamabiling version ay ang mas murang bootlegs na kung saan-saan ginawa. Merong made in: China, Taiwan, Macao, Mexico, meron pang rare na model na gawa sa El Salvador. Pero kahit saan pa man ito ginawa, pare-pareho ang itsura dahil standard ang mga plastic parts, at halatang mas mababa ang quality dahil mas magaan, at mas madaling masira kung ikukumpira sa version na gawa sa Japan. Madaling lumuwag ang joints, at habang tumatagal mas mahirap i-snap-back sa kanyang strap dock. Sari-saring mga kulay ang mapapagpilian, pero sikat at mabili ang kulay itim, at medyo mahirap hanapin ang kulay navy o silver.

Ang mga letrato ng mga robo watch na nandidito, ay ang pinakamurang bootleg versions. Walang packaging, at hindi totoo ang kanyang digital watch, dahil sticker lang ang kanyang display screen. Ikaw? Anong kulay ng Robo Watch mo?

i had a black one. tama, yung takara version maganda. they used to sell that at nova fontana sa shopsville, i remember looking at the store window and they had a silver one and a navy blue one that had a glossy look to it. the more expensive ones had retractable arm extensions. i had the tiangge one, but it was still a nice present from my tito for christmas. thank you so much for featuring this. your the best nostalgia manila!
